LINKING YOUR CHECKING ACCOUNT TO DAVE IS EASY
In order for us to predict upcoming expenses and identify recurring payments, we need to link to your checking account by connecting to your bank. Dave works with thousands of banks, large and small.
To connect yours, simply choose it from the list in the app and use your bank's login credentials to securely connect your account(s) to Dave. We use the latest military-grade 128-bit SSL encryption technology used by big banks so you can rest assured. We do not store your online banking credentials and never will. Your banking credentials are used once to authenticate and verify the account you provide belongs to you.
To make sure it's you, we may also ask security questions that only you would know. This is for your safety.
Please note that we DO NOT support credit cards or savings accounts, so please connect a checking account.
To connect multiple accounts, visit the profile (Me) section of the app and click the button that says "+ Add account" under "Linked Accounts."
If you have additional banks to connect, repeat the process. You only need to complete the process once per bank, not per account.
If you're having trouble connecting to your bank in the app, here are some top tips:
- Make sure you're entering the correct information. Double-check by going directly to your bank's website or app and entering the username and password there.
- Turn off additional security measures: if you need to enter an additional PIN, fingerprint, or receive a temporary code through text or email, those additional security measures will block our system. Turning them off can often resolve a lost connection.
